“The powerful cousins, whose Pollo Campero restaurants are about as ubiquitous in Central America as Starbucks is in the United States, are accused of diverting nearly half of the company's earnings to personal accounts in Miami banks.”
– Marcela Sanchez, Washington Post
“That is further evidence that they have no arguments”, said Juan Rodríguez, the attorney for Don Arturo. “What answer could they have to the famous videotapes where the most important executive in Guatemala appears and acknowledges that he launders money?”
– El Nuevo Herald
“One thing is for certain: this telenovela is far from over.”
– Christina Hoag, Miami Herald
This website, maintained by the family of Juan Arturo Gutierrez and Juan Guillermo Gutierrez (plaintiffs), contains information and documents relating to a decade-long legal dispute against some of Latin America's most powerful economic elites: Juan Luis Bosch and Dionisio Gutierrez Mayorga, owners of the popular restaurant chain Pollo Campero. Involving allegations of money laundering, tax evasion, and even political corruption in Guatemala, this case has attracted high-level international attention and has had significant repercussions far beyond the courts.
